Category: Community Engagement Opportunities (See all events in this category)

Saanich is planning for the future of Cedar Hill Park and we want to hear from you!

We are asking for public input at our upcoming Ideas Fair
  • Date: Thursday, June 8
  • Location: Cedar Hill Recreation Centre – art Studio #1
  • Time: Drop in anytime between 4 pm and 8 pm

Through this process, we hope to determine a vison for Cedar Hill Park to assist us with future park planning and management. This event will provide park users with an opportunity to learn about the history of the park and to brainstorm ideas they may have using interactive display boards.

About Cedar Hill Park

Cedar Hill Park is 53.4 hectares in size and is one of Saanich’s largest parks. The park, classified as a municipal park, was established in 1967 and is 50 years old this year. Both the Cedar Hill Golf Course and Recreation Centre are located within the park as well as natural areas with stands of Garry Oaks, a 3.6 km long perimeter chip trail, two baseball fields, Kings Pond and a tributary of Bowker Creek.

For this process we are focusing on the open park space and not areas actively used for golf or the recreation centre building or programs.
