Description:

As a Program Leader I for summer Youth Camps, you will rely on your leadership skills to plan, program, and lead activities for youth aged 10-15 in a variety of summer camp settings. This position will assist in planning and coordinating a variety of program activities including outdoor pursuits, games, out-trips, and leadership camps.  Working alongside another Program Leader I, you will effectively communicate and work cooperatively with participants, families, and supervisors; ensure the enjoyment and safety of all participants by maintaining the program site and resources; implement safe practices and lead well organized, fun, enriching summer activities.  

Requirements include completion of Grade 10; three months experience working with participants in a recreational or instructional setting; satisfactory police information check with vulnerable sector check. , Emergency First-Aid and CPR-C.  The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and youth, and have the ability to be inclusive and flexible to ensure a positive environment is created for all participants; demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain a high degree of enthusiasm and personal motivation.

The successful candidate will work 8-10 weeks of the summer, up to 40 hours per week from 8:15 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.
