Saanich Parks & Recreation camps offer high quality programming and experienced, well trained staff team to our Community. As an Inclusion Program Leader, you will rely on your leadership skills to supervise and assist participants with additional physical, behavioural or developmental support requirements in a variety of camp settings. Inclusion Program Leaders will assist with activity adaptations, and work cooperatively with participants, parents, and supervisors to ensure camp safety and accessibility.

Spring Break Camps 5 to 16 years of age

Various locations include Gordon Head Recreation Centre, Pearkes Recreation Centre, Cedar Hill Recreation, Saanich Commonwealth Place or off-site locations, such as: Meadow Park, Gordon Head Middle School, Royal Oak Middle School, and other locations within the community. (Acting, Cooking, Engineering, Gymnastics, Outdoor Programs, Sports, Wilderness Adventure, etc.).

Requirements include completion of Grade 10; three months experience working directly with participants in a recreational, day camp, or instructional setting, including experience with children with behaviour difficulties, disabilities and additional support needs; satisfactory police information check, Emergency First-Aid and CPR-C.  The ideal candidates will have the ability to be inclusive and flexible to ensure a positive environment is created for all participants; demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain a high degree of enthusiasm and personal motivation.  The successful candidates will be required to work varying shifts, Monday through Friday, length and times will vary between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (hours/shifts are subject to change).
