The District of Saanich is looking for an experienced Human Resources professional to provide sound advice and extensive administrative support in the area of recruitment.  As the HR Recruiter, you will provide assistance to those responsible for hiring District staff by effectively short listing candidates, along with assembling and scheduling interviews, developing testing materials and participating in the interview process to facilitate optimal hiring decisions.  You may be assigned a variety of special projects and will partner with other HR staff on divisional initiatives.  You will liaise with employees, unions, hiring managers, directors and HR advisors regarding the full cycle of recruitment and HR generalist matters.

In addition to three years human resources and recruitment experience, preferably in a unionized environment, you will have a two year post-secondary diploma in Business Administration specializing in human resources management or related field. As a qualified candidate, you will have knowledge of human resources processes, procedures, and documentation as well as proficiency in the use of a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and a related recruitment module.  Strong written and verbal communication as well as accurate and detailed editing skills are essential. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
