Description:

You are a highly creative, organized and results-driven Communications Specialist with a keen eye for detail. You are looking for an opportunity to use your communications skills and experience to create compelling content that resonates with the interests of Saanich residents. You are also comfortable wearing many hats and are responsible for creating digital content, including photos and short videos, and maintaining and enhancing a corporate website, intranet and social media sites. 

A highly effective collaborator and communicator, you have meticulous research, writing, proofreading and editing skills and can translate complex concepts into plain language for different audiences. As a strong critical thinker, you can turn ideas into measurable communications plans and strategies to support broader organizational goals and enhance the District’s presence on and offline.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field and two years of recent work experience within the last five years in a similar communications role.
