Gordon Head Recreation Centre is seeking multiple certified Aquatic Instructor II/Lifeguards who will be responsible for ensuring an enjoyable safe experience while participating in our pool services and programs. The successful candidates will follow expectations and guidelines set by Canadian Red Cross, Lifesaving Society and Saanich protocols and procedures. In a professional and responsible manner, the Aquatic Instructor II/Lifeguard will contribute to a positive team environment and ensure that patrons act in accordance to facility rules and the facility and equipment are in safe, working condition.
Requirements include completion of Grade 10; current Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Award; current National Lifeguard Service Pool Option certification; current CPR - Level C with AED certification; current Standard First Aid certification; over three months experience and a satisfactory police information check with vulnerable sector check.
Successful candidates will work varying shifts including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends (hours/shifts are subject to change).
