Farm Folk / City Folk is a non-profit organization that encourages community engagement in the celebration of food. The group started in the Vancouver area and now holds events on Vancouver Island.

Mason Street City Farm

The Mason Street City Farm is a quarter acre market farm nestled into the heart of the North Park neighbourhood in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia.

City Farmer

A website run by the office of the Vancouver Compost Demonstration Garden.  This website “teaches people how to grow food in the city, compost their waste and take care of their home landscape in an environmentally responsible way.”  They provide a collection of stories about urban farmers from around the world.

BC Food Security Gateway

A web initiative of the Ministry of Healthy Living & Sport in partnership with the BC Health Authorities. The web site is designed to be a “one stop” web resource for food security practitioners and others in British Columbia who want to build food-secure communities and to make “healthy eating the easy choice.”

The US National Sustainable Agriculture Information Service

Funded by the United States Department of Agriculture the Rural Business-Cooperative Service provides information and other technical assistance to farmers, ranchers, educators, and others involved in sustainable agriculture in the United States, but the publications offer information that may be beneficial to any farmer as they generally discuss how to assess, improve and maintain food system components.
