RFP 10/20 – Project Manager for Fire Station #2 Redevelopment.

Scope of Work:   The purpose of this RFP is to select one (1) qualified Proponent to provide a project manager for the Corporation of the District of Saanich (“District” or “Saanich”) Fire Station # 2 Redevelopment Project (“Project”).  The successful Proponent (“Contractor”) is expected to provide a Project Manager with the following attributes/characteristics:

  • Proven construction project management experience of five (5) years or more;
  • Prior experience with design-bid-build and/or construction management projects;
  • Prior experience with the development of LEED Gold or Platinum buildings;
  • Prior experience with the construction of public safety buildings is preferred; and
  • The ability to provide a back-up project manager who is equally or better qualified during planned and unplanned absences.

It is anticipated that the work will commence approximately mid-October 2020.

Proponents must attend one (1) of the following events:

  • Proponents’ Meeting # 1
  • Proponents’ Meeting # 2

Proponents are not required to attend all events; however, it is a Mandatory Criteria (see Section 5.1) they must attend one (1) of the events.

Addendum Letter No. 2,   dated August 31, 2020 has been posted on BC Bid, with responses to enquiries and revises the Schedule of Events, is now available on BC Bid, in the Supplier Attachments Exist folder.

Addendum Letter No. 3,   dated September 2, 2020 has been posted on BC Bid, with responses to enquiries and revises the list of documents for the Proponent’s Package by adding the Revised Class B Estimate on the Table of Contents page and in section 3.4.  NOTE TO PROPONENTS:  The Revised Class B Estimate will be distributed to registered Proponents who attended Proponents’ Meeting # 1 and/or # 2 via email.
