Description:

Invitation to Annual Quotation:  For “AQ 10/18 - Fire System Inspection”.  Annual Quotation document and attachment has now been posted on BC Bid website: https://www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca/open.dll/welcome?language=En, Solicitation Number:  AQ 10/18, or by contacting Purchasing Services at 250-475-5494, local 3480.

Scope of Work:    The District of Saanich is requesting quotations from experienced contractors on an as and when requested basis to supply inspections, testing, repair and maintenance for extinguishing systems, fire alarm systems and fire sprinkler systems. Contractors are to supply the services to facilities as listed. The District will select one qualified bidder.  Contractors will be required to be certified and trade qualified.  The Contractor will be required to provide evidence of qualifications.

There may be some equipment deleted with the next 12 months.  At that time the contract will be adjusted accordingly.

The work includes:

1.0    Annual inspections of fire sprinkler systems in accordance with (B.C.F.C.) British Columbia Fire Code Regulations.

2.0    Annual inspections of fire alarm systems in accordance with (B.C.F.C.) British Columbia Fire Code Regulations.  Testing of the fire alarm systems to the standard CAN ULC S536-M97, including firmware updates of fire alarm panels.

3.0    Annual inspection and testing of the Emergency Lighting Systems in accordance with (B.C.F.C) British Columbia Fire code Regulations.

4.0    Twice a year inspections of extinguishing systems in accordance with (B.C.F.C.) British Columbia Fire Code Regulations.

5.0    Emergency repair service to restore the Facility to an operational, secure and/or safe condition. 

6.0    Successful Bidder will be required to provide with each inspection a report of findings, deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions.

Term: The term of the contract will be from November 1st, 2018 to October 31st, 2019 with the option to extend for one (1) additional term.
