Project Overview: The purpose of this project is to develop a Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) for the District of Saanich. The CWPP will be used for protecting the community from wildfire risk.
The CWPP objectives are to define the unique risk profile that wildfire urban interface poses to the District, make recommendations to mitigate these risks, and develop an action plan for implementation of the recommendations. The CWPP will take into consideration new development, changes in forest health and fuels, and examine the effectiveness of work already completed.
