The District of Saanich is seeking Information and Expressions of Interest from a party willing to provide or develop a facility for the Saanich Food Hub (SFH) in the District of Saanich. The SFH is a regional collaborative project that focuses on expanding the local agri-food economy and strengthening the food system. The Hub will act as a catalyst to connect many players along the food and agriculture value chain. The SFH will offer facilities, equipment, and services that are currently missing from the value chain, including food processing, storage, distribution, and product development support.

Economic Development Strategy
This Strategy will aim to leverage the progress, assets, and investments that have already been made in the District of Saanich and identify gaps that should be filled to create a diverse economy. The District’s strategic assets in the context of the Capital Regional District will be a prime focus of the Strategy, as is alignment with other municipal plans both existing and upcoming.
