Welcome to Saanich Archives

We are now open at our new facility inside the Saanich Centennial Library on Tillicum Road (next to Pearkes Recreation Centre).

Our reference room features exhibits of archival material, subject & pioneer files, news clippings, directories, photographs, maps, oral history transcripts, finding aids to our archival holdings, and an excellent collection of books on local and B.C. history.

Over 4,000 photographs from our collection can now be searched online, thanks to generous funding from the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre at UBC and the Municipality of Saanich.

Saanich Archives collects and preserves archival material relating to the Municipality of Saanich. We welcome donations of photographs and other records that document the heritage of Saanich.

New to archival research? Join us on a Wednesday morning for an orientation session and tour of the Archives.

We look forward to your visit.
