How to take care of the trees on your boulevard.

Public Trees
Inquiries and requests for work on a public tree can be made online as a Request for Service or to the Parks office at 475-5522.

Private Trees

The community is reminded that private trees are the homeowner's responsibility and if one is down, contact one of the many private Arborists listed in the Yellow Pages. If you see a public tree down please call Saanich Parks at (250) 475-5522 with as much detail as possible.If the power is out in your area, lines are down across the road, or you see sparks stay clear and call BC Hydro at 1-888-769-3766.

Everyone appreciates the aesthetic beauty that trees provide, but there is so much more. Trees and Storms

With winter storm season approaching it is always a good idea to have trees inspected to ensure that their structure or stability has not been compromised.  If you are concerned about a park, boulevard or private bylaw-protected tree request a call for service or tree permit online or call Saanich Parks at 475-5522.  Please refer to the Tree Protection Bylaw to determine if your private tree requires any permits or authorization before removal.  Read more...
