Welcome to the District of Saanich Geographic Information System (GIS). Saanich is dedicated to providing a live, up to date map service to better serve the public. Our interactive map viewer enables display, query and output of municipal spatially referenced information.
The possibilities are many and include: finding the location of an address within Saanich; learning details about a property such as lot area and zoning; viewing underground infrastructure services; learning about Saanich's historical sites; observing landscape change by viewing historical aerial photos.
The following update has been made to the Saanich web GIS:
The Zoning bylaw can be directly accessed from any GIS location. Instructions on how to do so can be found here.

The Saanich Internet
Mapping viewer supports the latest versions of Internet
Explorer (min version 5.5), and Netscape (min version 4.5)
on a Windows platform. Firefox is supported on both Windows
and Linux.
The mapping system is currently not fully compatible with
a Macintosh platform. Initial testing shows promising results
for Safari on OS X but we would appreciate your feedback
if you encounter a problem.
