Saanich Parks is pleased to advise you that the Sport Court Project, through the Recreation Infrastructure Canada (RInC) Grant, for Marigold Park is complete. The response has been very favourable.  Also, through the Trees Canada Grant, volunteers from the TD Bank planted one hundred trees within the park to begin the reforestation of the natural park area.  In June 2011 the playground was refurbished to include a tree house, climbing rocks and swings.  Pathways were upgraded and additional park furniture was installed. 

As part of our original 2010 RInC project, we had hoped to include the playground improvements, but due to time constraints related to the grant we had to separate the two projects.  With the support of the Strawberry Vale Resident’s Association, Saanich Parks is pleased to report that the playground improvements are now complete.
