Saanich Parks welcomes the use of our Parks for on-going research regarding the composition of the flora and fauna. This may include but not limited to environmental assessments, invasive species inventory, mapping, monitoring and tracking. Please use the following information when submitting a research permit for review. .

In order to ensure that your research methodology, timing and ethics are consistent with Saanich Parks’ management goals we will require all of the following:

1. A complete research proposal including methodology
2. Dates and specific locations where the research will be taking place
3. Mitigation plans for any potential impacts from research conducted in an ecologically sensitive area (for reference please visit: http://www.crd.bc.ca/es/natatlas/atlas.htm)
4. Proof of liability insurance
5. A completed research permit request form
6. A copy of the findings or report when research is completed
