Carbon Fund

Saanich has established an innovative Carbon Fund, establing funds to offset corporate emissions. This is the first such municipal initiative in North America.

Leading by Example

The municipality is working hard to reduce emissions in our municipal operations and the Carbon Fund is producing a wide range of exciting carbon reduction projects.

CO2 Now

Global warming is mainly the result of CO2 levels rising in the Earth’s atmosphere. Both atmospheric CO2 and climate change are accelerating.
