Following the large scale flood that occurred August 23, water has been restored to all areas of G.R. Pearkes Recreation Centre. The Saanich Archives, Centennial Library, and the Queen Alexandra Room remain closed until further notice.

Saanich crews continue to work on remediation efforts. A timeline for an assessment of the damage and repairs has yet to be confirmed. We will share more information as it becomes available.

The cause of the flood was a broken water pipe in the mechanical room of the Saanich Centennial Library.
