The school travel planning process brings together members of the school community – parents, teachers, staff, students, etc – along with external stakeholders to identify barriers to active travel while working together to implement solutions. Participating in this facilitated, collaborative process helps schools identify opportunities to encourage and support active trips to school, and solutions to traffic safety concerns. This process now includes the production of a Plan Your Route Map, and a Travel Report. The surveys and walkabouts also help Engineering staff develop improved active routes to school.
