The District of Saanich's population in 2021 was 117,735 making it the largest municipality in the Capital Regional District, the eighth largest in the province, and the 44th largest in Canada.
Housing Needs Report
Saanich has developed a Housing Needs Report that provides information on housing conditions in the municipality, as well as future needs across the housing continuum. Council received the Report on November 16, 2020. As per provincial legislation, the Housing Needs Report is required to be updated every five years.
